The selected area-based projects and system innovations of Water+Land+Scape 2.0

Minister Zuhal Demir is releasing EUR 15 million to support 16 area-based projects and 8 system innovations in their fight against drought and flooding. These water challenges are increasingly visible in our open spaces and require cooperation between farmers, nature conservationists, local authorities and water operators. Meanwhile, a first generation of water-land landscape projects has been in operation for three years and the first results are visible: weirs, wood edges, level-controlled drainage, alternative crops are appearing in the landscape and proving their added value for a healthy water balance.
