Ports: Accelerators of the circular economy

In the 49th issue of the VRP magazine 'Ruimte' on the theme of 'the circular space', we highlight the ports as accelerators of the circular transition!
In the summer of 2018, during the Delta Conference at the IABR 2018, the hypothesis was raised that ports will and should play a crucial element in the transition to circular economy. After all, they are one of the most important hubs of economic and logistical activities and chains. Since then, several research projects have been set up to investigate this hypothesis on various scales. The knowledge acquired in the various projects has been compiled into a compelling story for this article!
