Alice Payne (she/her) approaches societal challenges from the field, with a curious and open attitude. She makes social dynamics visible using architectural tools, starting from listening and collaboration.
Since January 2026, she has been part of Workroom, where she works on various projects related to fossil-free neighborhoods and social infrastructure.
Alice grew up in Leuven and studied Engineering Sciences: Architecture at KU Leuven. Her master's thesis, within the theme Social Crises & Urbanism: exploring the Infrastructures in Urban Inclusion in Ecuador, revealed her the power of the people, collective action and the strength of architectural language. She previously worked at Community Land Trust Leuven, where she focused on issues of affordable housing.
