Pilot projects drought 3.0 (Mallaardstraat)

Minister for the Environment Zuhal Demir has made EUR 4 million available for the Drought 3.0 Experimental Garden. The programme is supported by the Open Space Platform and is part of the Blue Deal, in which Flanders increases efforts to combat drought and water scarcity and strives for circular water use within priority sectors.

A first summary proposal must be submitted by 26 July. For a fully developed project proposal there is time until 11 October 2021.

In this third edition of the Drought Pilot Projects there is a special focus on the development of local circular water cycles and on the win-win opportunities that the Drought Pilot Projects can create with other societal challenges. Also the aspect of the Living Labs as projects that can inspire others is highlighted in this call.
