New call Pilot Projects Drought 2020

The SLIM water management project in Duffel links the rainwater surpluses of Reynaers Aluminium to the reservoirs for neighbouring greenhouse horticulture companies.

In order to prevent water scarcity in Flanders, we must all make efforts. That means dealing differently with wastewater and rainwater, using innovative ways of working and using innovative techniques. With the Pilot Projects Drought we build up knowledge about practical and technical challenges and solutions and investigate policy and administrative obstacles and possibilities. In this way we want to pave the way for the multiplication of similar projects that arm us against long periods of drought and water scarcity.
